“The sea was angry that day..” .. he’s a pidgeon, not a seagull.. haaarrr..
The discussion between Fredo and the chick must have been something like : ” Prepare to be boarded. ” ! :))
Fredo McPidjin, huh? guess that chick was the helpless, single mother accountant type…mmm…maybe i should get me one of those for some rainy nights;autumn calling! not a genius touch but the you had me at hell…ooo, it was asl pls really saved the day. keep up the good work
thanks guys!
@megalomaniac: it’s not a bashka, it’s a special operations berret! Fredo is special ops!
i’m glad so many of you liked this episode, it was a risky one to do - but the first frames were so appealing to draw, that we went for it. Actually, -although it may not appear so-, the entire episode was built around the ‘aslpls’ line - and that makes me extra happy to see it didn’t go unnoticed, we understated it a little, on purpose.
also, a free beer on our next pidjin party to whomever is first to point out the reference in the first panel! (drinks will probably be on the house anyway, but still!!! it’s an adventure!)
hehe, Georgy boy :).
(and although Seinfeld is my favorite series, to be honest, I had to google it, so I guess it won’t count )
anyway, wonderfully done.
George: “The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to return soup at a deli! I got about fifty-feet out and then suddenly the great beast appeared before me. I tell ya he was ten stories high if he was a foot. As if sensing my presence he gave out a big bellow. I said, “Easy big fella!” And then as I watched him struggling I realized something was obstructing his breathing. From where I was standing I could see directly into the eye of the great fish!”
Is it Art Vanderlay? (otherwise known as the great porno star Buck Naked. Or George Costanza to the dilettantes).
“The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to return soup at a deli!” :))
the long-ago comics were a lot of fun (take the the glue-series, now that was a laugh), lately *every* episode has one joke: Fredo gets chicks all the time, while Pidgin is a virgin…
Saturday night, April 19th, at 21:50 we'll be drawing Fredo and Pid'Jin live, on stage at the Filter Design Party. The party starts at 19:00, at Fabrica. More info [more...]

From one of our favorite Seinfeld dialogues:
George: “The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to return soup at a deli! I got about fifty-feet out and then suddenly the great beast appeared before me. I tell ya he was ten stories high if he was a foot. As if sensing my presence he gave out a big bellow. I said, “Easy big fella!” And then as I watched him struggling I realized something was obstructing his breathing. From where I was standing I could see directly into the eye of the great fish!”
Jerry: “Mammal.”
George: “Whatever.”
