@JimmY: I thought so too before seeing it colored. But apparently it works just fine - in that it was recognized without problems.
Also there is a fine line here in not being to graphic. That’s why i’m still curious if our girl fans will comment as well, so far only guys have commented. Noticed that ?

Maybe the girls are very sad now, finding out that the unicorn they’ve once received is just a poney with a pink rubber protuberance on it’s forehead. It’s like finding out there is no Santa.

well we weren’t aware of that one, but i suppose this is the main problem with using wordplay, usually there will be someone who found the pun before you.

At some point during the creation of an episode (when we remember) we check if the thing we’re doing exists already.
For example by the time we found the “Emo Hitler” the episode was ready. In retrospect I’m happy we did not find out earlier cos we might have ended up canning one of our favorite episodes.
Sometimes we don’t consider this a problem, as long as it is not a joke clash.
We’ve found unintentional “joke clashes” in other comics, where we’ve been the first ones to do the joke, but i certainly don’t imply that someone ripped us off, these things just happen, it’s a chance thing.
I say don’t take it like that.
