What is this now “one should not make fun of religion”?
As a regular guy(and sinner like us all) i can say our religion jokes are perfectly acceptable to me as a Christian, as they don’t even imply atheist stuff (yet many atheist seem to enjoy them).
To sum all this up, I think the reason one might be offended is because one could (wrongly) assume some mean spirited intentions behind our comics.
We, on the other hand, like to think that Jesus was a cool dude(he was the kinda dude to preach to massive crowds), and he would totally be cool with our jokes.
Can you be sure that my belief is wrong?

I agree with Tudor. Some people take it too personally. This is NOT personal. Stop thinking you’re so damn unique for being a believer, that everyone is bullying you and laughing at you and wants to persecute you. Most of us respect others’ beliefs. You don’t have to laugh if you don’t think it’s funny, but stop over-analyzing things.

So: “you should not take it personally”.
I would explain my reasons I don’t feel confortable when joking about it. I, as a christian, believe that Jesus is not just a cool dude. He is my father, brother, friend, doctor and I can continue with pages about what Jesus represents to me, but I guess you’ve got the ideea.
Let me put it this way: If your father choose to die and donate his heart so you can live, how would you feel joking about that?
I’m positive you should joke about me, for “Ridendo castigat mores”. But I’m beging: please do not make a fool out of my God. I can’t explain how it feels. It may sounds melodramatic, but these are my thoughts.
And, believe me, I’m not into “you’re gonna burn in hell” saying. That’s not an argument and is not even for me or you to decide. But keep this is mind: people say a lot a things when you hurt their feelings and I know that from experience (I did it
).

Guys, I’ve seen a remake of this cartoon with the same words and joke, but without Fredo and Pidjin, in an issue of Catavencu magazine.And Jesus was looking almost identically with yours.
