      Google is not Evil ?
      Oh please.

Here take it , it’s free!!

Google is more dangerous than Apple will ever be.

  14. Dolly @ April 12, 2010 at 12:59 pm

Looks like the comics does appear to be true. The way that iPhone and iPad are selling is just another indication of its dominance in the industry and market, for the next few years.

  15. Aahna @ April 12, 2010 at 2:08 pm

    Very funny it is really!

  16. Hamranhansenhansen @ April 12, 2010 at 2:11 pm

To be funny, things have to be true. This is not. If you don’t like Apple gear, don’t buy it. With what they’ve done for the Web with WebKit and HTML5 even if you don’t use their gear, you benefited.

    • theTudor @ April 12, 2010 at 3:00 pm

      @Hamranhansenhansen

You’re right, it’s true Steve Jobs did not shoot a bird.

But lets look at what Steve was trying to prevent:

It appears IBM wants it all !
Dealers fear an IBM dominated and controlled future!

Turning to Apple as the only source that can ensure their future freedom.
IBM wants it all and it’s aiming its guns at its last obstacle to industry control, Apple.

Will big blue dominate the entire computer industry, the entire information age?
Was George Orwell right about 1984?

      [In walk the drones]
Today we celebrate the first glorious anniversary of the Information Purification Directives.

[Apple's hammer-thrower enters, pursued by storm troopers.]
We have created for the first time in all history a garden of pure ideology, where each worker may bloom, secure from the pests of any contradictory true thoughts.

Our Unification of Thoughts is more powerful a weapon than any fleet or army on earth.

We are one people, with one will, one resolve, one cause.

Our enemies shall talk themselves to death and we will bury them with their own confusion.

[Hammer is thrown at the screen]

      We shall prevail!

      [Boom!]

      Does this sound vaguely familiar?
      (and btw I love webkit)

  17. J Straums @ April 12, 2010 at 3:25 pm

The idea of a corporation isn’t bad until the company puts profit before humanity.

Apple has become all about profit.
Before the uproar about green living, they were one of the worst polluters in computer manufacturing. They went more green not cause it’s a great idea, but because it’s marketable.
Now they are trying to make the internet a pay per use system. Trying to find a restaurant nearby? There’s a $3 charge for that.
Jobs is evil. He even declined to offer even a smidgen of help to Dr. Albert Hoffman, when the good doctor hand wrote him a very kind plea for support at the tender age of 101. He didn’t even offer $30 – then he goes around saying that Dr. Hoffman’s work is one of the reasons he founded Apple. Dr. Hoffman has since passed away.
    What an iDouche.

This is bullshit, Windows PCs have far more market share than Macs. Stupid comic.

    • freeworld @ April 13, 2010 at 6:21 am

windows never dominated the market place as apple does, even with all its market share, it never said windows can work on microsoft hard ware only, it never said windows apps must go through the windows store only and no place else, it never said music players must use ‘windows-tunes’ only to tranfer music, it never said dell,hp,etc…must not exist coz microsoft is the only one who can make the pc, it never said ‘though shall not modify the pc without my written concent’(just as jobs uncle removed all adult apps from mas , which means he can do anything he likes), now just think what if windows ‘locked’ down all its products to microsoft…just like wat mac is doing nw…

  19. Ivo Quartiroli @ April 12, 2010 at 7:28 pm

Neil Postman wrote: “As Huxley remarked in Brave New World Revisited, the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny “failed to take into account man’s almost infinite appetite for distractions.” … In 1984, Huxley added, people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us.”

Tricksters and seducing people as Jobs are the ministers of our Brave New Digital World.

Apple computers are too expensive. Even if they are built in China, maybe in the same factory as some PCs…

  27. leo @ April 13, 2010 at 8:11 pm

i like what free world said….apple is soooooo closed policies and toooooooooooooo restrictive
free world- “windows never dominated the market place as apple does, even with all its market share, it never said windows can work on microsoft hard ware only, it never said windows apps must go through the windows store only and no place else, it never said music players must use ‘windows-tunes’ only to tranfer music, it never said dell,hp,etc…must not exist coz microsoft is the only one who can make the pc, it never said ‘though shall not modify the pc without my written concent’(just as jobs uncle removed all adult apps from mas , which means he can do anything he likes), now just think what if windows ‘locked’ down all its products to microsoft…just like wat mac is doing nw… “

  28. Nathalie @ April 16, 2010 at 7:58 pm

I like it! Nothing like a healthy competition to stimulate the market… Apple is very good and in many ways superior to IBM, but it’s also more expensive. So there is place for both in the market.

  29. iamildumil @ April 16, 2010 at 11:47 pm

Steve should have said “Adobe” instead of IBM. But it’s funny because it’s true!

The said cartoon is very funny. I do hope the said company pictured here is not making complaints. I got your message though. It really is interesting what would happen in the near future. Does the said cartoon do apply on it? I do hope not.
